Seniors maul Marlborough!

(Well they won the match anyway – Ed)

Our aged heroes travelled to M’boro on Thursday in the fog, mist and rain to play a very strong M’boro team in the GJ winter league and for the very first time in winter league history drove back happy and victorious.

Remarkably the rain stopped as the match began and more remarkable was the great performance from our seniors. The final score being M’boro 1.5 and DG 2.5.

A great result – well done team!

Well done Donnington Grove

As of tomorrow 19th October, now the weather has taken a turn for the worst and winter rules are now in play. The Golf Buggies may be subject to Buggy Paths only. This rule will now apply throughout the winter months. Buggies maybe allowed on the fairways before this time or for a small period over the winter if the Course Manager feels the conditions have been good enough to not damage the course.

Please contact the ProShop before your visit to check if the buggies are paths only or allowed on the fairways. – 01635 551975

GPS Tracking

Every buggy has been fitted with a GPS tracker. This tracker prevents the buggies from entering any restricted areas such as Tee’s, Greens, Bunkers, Water and now the Fairways. If the buggy goes close to a restricted area the buggy will Bleep for 5 seconds as a warning and then cut the engine if you don’t return to the path immediately. After 5 to 10 more seconds the buggy will allow you to engage the reverse gear only allowing you to go back to the path. The GPS tracker will then allow the buggy to continue along the paths. If you do encounter an issue please call the ProShop 01635 551975 as they can remote access each buggy, override or re-set the buggy.

Thanks for your co-operation. This will keep the golf course in excellent condition and prevent accidents on slippery wet areas.
